In her 12 years as an attorney, Elissa has learned to fight for her clients at every opportunity.  She believes that every client needs individual attention and zealous advocacy.  Elissa understands that whether the charge is a class A felony or a simple misdemeanor, the stakes are high, and she works to make sure that her clients get the best result possible for their case. 

Elissa has an open-door policy with clients. She understands the stress involved with criminal charges and understands that clients need access to their attorneys even when there are no major updates in a case.  Elissa firmly believes that everyone deserves to be treated with respect, no matter how their charges or criminal history appear.

Prior to working at Benjamin & Healy, Elissa worked as a defense attorney on the east side for 9 years. She started her career in law at the Snohomish County Public Defenders' office.  Elissa does not shy away from trial, and have won many trials ranging from drug charges and DUIs to domestic violence cases in her career. 

Elissa graduated with her B.S. from the University of Puget Sound, an M.S. from Virginia Tech and a law degree from the University of Washington. In her spare time, Elissa loves endurance sporting events and murder mysteries.
